Unique Features of Wood Grain Specialties Cabinetry

Wood Grain Specialties is a custom cabinet shop. Therefore, any size cabinet, any door size and style, or any stain or paint color can be ordered. These pictures illustrate some of the features unique to our cabinetry.

Picture #1:
Pockets to attach face frames with screws

Picture #2:
The center panel of this door panel is stained and sealed before assembly. This eliminates an unstained line created if the center panel shrinks.

Picture #3:
This shows an extension in the back of the panel which it allows it to fit up against the wall, allowing the installer to sand if necessary.

Picture #4:
Shows how the face frame is assembled.

Picture #5:
The extra wide stile allows the installer to sand to fit the cabinet up against the wall. This eliminates the need for filler strips.

Picture #6:
There is a screw rail at the top and at the bottom. ¾” sides and bottom are standard in all of our cabinetry. The countertop screwblocks along the front and sides. The long front screwblock adds stability to the face frame.

Picture #7:
This is a sub toe kick. A ¾” finished toe kick can then be attached to the sub toe kick, which will give more than adequate support to the finished toe kick.
Pictures #8 & #9:
1 ½” nosing on a bookcase shelving.

At Wood Grain Specialties all hardwood moldings are back sealed. Finished cabinet sides, face frames, doors, wood tops, and finished shelving are given three coats of finish.
